Nervous

I'm just going to throw something out here for comment and hopefully the cheese will not be standing alone on this one (an unlikely enough scenerio in Wisconsin after all).

When I first signed up for this trip I was so excited. I was going to get to meet a few Tally gals from Wisconsin, and hang with my two favorite scrapbook buddies from here in Minnesota. Within days suddenly a full house of Tally gals were going, and eventually it was the entire permanent staff at Tally as well. Over the past weeks, as the trip has gotten closer, I've gotten more and more nervous. I feel loved and liked at TallyScrapper.com, I feel like I fit in.

But as this trip draws near I find myself thinking things like, "What am I going to wear?" and "What if they don't like me in person?" I find myself wondering all kinds of goofy things that show an insecurity that I've not felt in many years.

Now, I had a successful visit meeting Tally gals out in the Northeast, and you'd think that would help build my confidence. But in fact this trip has been so built up in my mind that I find myself thinking like a hormonal preteen, wondering if I'll fit in at church camp.

So, I just wanted to throw that out there...when I arrive, I will most likely be very self-conscious and nervous. I want you all to like me and for everyone to have a fabulous time...but I do know that the internet and the real world are two different places.

If you were feeling similarily, I just wanted you to know you are not alone.

Nervousness aside, I still can hardly wait!

Help for those flying in...Cardstock plus?

I can't even imagine trying to fly to a scrapbooking retreat. There is so much stuff I like to have available. Luckily, I am driving. Actually...quite a few of us are.

I am going to offer up my cardstock collection. I will bring in a P3 full of cardstock. All colors. (probably not much bling, but a lot of Bazzil for sure). I will leave it open for all to use. I will truly open it for all to take as needed, but I will put a small cup on the top for those who feel obliged to leave 40 or 50 cents for any sheets they take. This offer is open to all coming to the retreat, driving or flying.

What other things would those of you flying like to have available? I'm sure that those of us driving can bring things for you to either use or purchase if that makes sense.

I know Minda and I will each have a box of freebies. This will be ends of embellishments and sticker sheets, ribbons we are done with, buttons, die cut sheets with one or two left (you get the idea). These would be available for all to rummage through. At my last two retreats I have made pages mostly with Minda's "leftovers" and she loved them. (as did I).

So... I can keep a checklist with "open" supplies available. You are not obligated to participate, but I thought it might help out our flyers. Let me know if you are bringing something that will be open for general use. Let us know if you need something.

Circle Journals

Minda, Nancy & I were talking about the circle journal pages last Saturday, and we wondered everyone's opinion.

Do you want to NOT post them on Tally, before the Dells weekend? Or post them if you finish them before then?

I think what I would like to do is take pictures of all of the pages I've done, but wait and not post them beforehand. Maybe post them after the weekend. That way, the "unveiling" is saved for the rally.

I know some people have said they are going to work on them AT the rally, so for them it's a moo point, (you know, a point a cow would make).

My Circle Journal

Here is my circle journal for our trip to the Dells. Size is 4x6 arrows. Layouts must fit the arrow book from the July Tally kit or be no bigger than 4x6 landscape. Theme is "My Favorite Place". Use travel related embellishments and a small picture of you (approx. 2.25x3.25 would fit). This will be challenging with such little space! I've drawn a copy of the arrow if you don't have the minibook from the kit. Please use thick paper or cardstock as your background and secure any embellies since this will not have page protectors.

Just an idea about your pages... I plan on scrapping them AT the TallyRally. I'm NOT good about planning my scrap pages, but I can pack for the trip really easily if I just pack pages for you all! Just a thought if you too are wondering what to pack. I'm packing for the Circle Journals!! lol
